continued from the front page My dream could be divided into three parts: In the first part I was looking for a job auditioning with a group of others for a modeling gig. And though I’ve never done professional modeling usually this is an indication of a symbolic dream.

Anyway after auditioning for a time I noticed that the same people would get hired that were going around in the same groups and that if you didn’t belong to the favored “modeling” group than you were passed over, in the auditions, no matter how well they performed. After a while of doing this I got frustrated and disappointed and started looking for other employment which brings me to the second part of my dream.

In the second part I found myself in a carnival where each station represented some kind of amusement. After walking a block and making a sharp left turn I noticed a particular station down in an alley where dressed in orange I saw buddhist tibetan monks but unclear what I would find at the end of the tunnel and desperate to find something meaningful I ventured down the alley where I found myself, in the third part of my dream, sitting in a theater.

At first the theater but appeared to be an audition hall where you would expect to hear lectures from spiritual dignitaries or principals. At the front of the hall were two seats facing 90 degrees from the audience where I assumed the principle speakers sat. After looking for a seat as near to the front as I could I suddenly realized that the seats nearest the front (the parts that you sat down on) were edible.

They were bright orange where the primary seat at the front was tangerine orange while the other seats including the one I sat on was darker orange and from what I could tell people were tearing a piece from their seats and eating it. Likewise I took bite size portions and swallowed it. It tasted like candied exotic delicacies from Puerto Rico. As people would take a bite  then they would move to the next seat and do the same. Meanwhile I heard a voice behind me cautioning me that the substance of the seat could make me sick and that the others were cautioned to start by taking seats further back before moving to the seats that were closest because the seat I’d chosen were such that for some unexplained reason without having occupied prior seats could make me deathly ill. Still I contemplated moving closer and it was now too late to move back to another seat. Then a mechanized voice from above the primary seats at the front of the auditorium instructed me to take one of the front seats.

Considering to sit in the 2nd seat and not the first chair I realized that it was telling me to sit in the principal chair which I responded and sat in immediately. Once I was reseated I ate of the mandarine orange colored chair which tasted like sweet mandarine. here is where the dream ended where I found myself reposed feeling assured, that I wasn’t poisoned that I had reached my rightful goal.

The meaning of my dream seemed self-evident referring to different parts of my life. The first part of my dream seemed to refer mostly to experiences from my youth etc. I didn’t have to ponder much to see the light that lies before us is true understanding. While behind us lies the shadow of our former self consisting of projections  we’ve created in the world of ourselves not realizing that they are a product of our making.

The light is always in front of us. Shadows and our own deceptions always lie behind. As we continue to move forward walking in light we will become enlightened but the more we look back wanting a different result will only create more of the same frustrations and disappointment not knowing our life’s purpose. In a sense the dream was intended to show our life’s purpose is to walk in the light and by doing so to encourage others to do the same.
